Banana Cream Ganache

This velvety smooth banana cream ganache will make your heart sing and remind you of summertime! It’s the perfect chocolate candy recipe to use alone for a simple banana cream bite or the recipe can be used as a base for a more intricate concoction (such as banana foster, banana split or banana walnut).

Banana Cream Oil Flavoring

The banana cream oil flavoring that I use is a brand called LorAnn Oils.  This oil based flavoring won’t seize your chocolate and is extremely potent. A little goes a long way. It comes in a 1 ounce bottle that includes a dropper for convenience.

Here’s the ingredients…

Banana, butter, salt, banana cream oil flavoring, white chocolate, heavy cream.

Purée a whole banana until smooth. Set aside.

Place white chocolate callets or small chunks in a heatproof bowl and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Add 10 drops of banana cream oil flavoring to the heavy cream. I use LorAnn Oils, which are quite potent.

Heat heavy cream on stove top until hot but not quite boiling.

Pour the hot heavy cream over the bowl of white chocolate. Stir immediately until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Stir in softened butter and then banana purée.

Cool ganache to room temperature and fill in a piping bag. Makes approximately 40 bite sized chocolate candies.
